Work. Overloaded with it. But it’s good to get the grey cells working again. Friend giving a TedX talk on the organisation she started. Her message about loving your parents. My bestie is back in town.  

Almost the whole team is back, feels good to have someone to berate the whole day. Spontaneous conversations. They always make me smile! Unexpected compliments on my Indian Chudidaar, from a colleague who’s constantly at loggerheads with me.

Felt like bread omelette today, so breakfast was a mix of Rob’s Andhra omelette recipe with a slice of bread slipped into the mix. An electric storm to cool things off during this hot, hot summer. It poured for hours. Was reminded of home and childhood when the rain caused a power failure.  

Slept early last night… wow … haven’t had such a long, deep sleep on a weekday in a long time. Finally got my Mac in for repairs. Oh how I miss Valerie. The masks I bought in Venice have reached. Whoo hoo!

Going back to work to familiar faces. No one got fired on my watch. Phew! Same old, same old, somehow it feels like an old, worn sock. Don’t think it’ll last long. Played Scheherezada after a long, long break 🙂

The new green leaves on the acer platinum. Hurrah… she’s recuperating! Reviewed the images I took on vacation. While still too many, I see many nuggets of gold in there. Spicy wings. Oh how I missed it.
